Edward Irving Koch (December 12, 1924 – February 1, 2013) was an American politician, lawyer, political commentator, film critic, and television personality. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1969 to 1977 and was mayor of New York City from 1978 to 1989. James Brigham was a Canadian scholar and a minor poet. He was involved with small press publishing in the Okanagan; was a faculty member of the Okanagan University College; was the 11th Sheppard Memorial Lecturer at St. Berchman's College, Changanacherry, India; founded Deus Loci the Lawrence Durrell journal; and he edited the Collected Poems of Lawrence Durrell.
